Senior Consultant – Stations, Sustainability and Technical Writing

Owain is a transport consultant with significant experience in bidding, project management, mobilisation and transition projects. Throughout his career, Owain has worked closely with owning groups, train operating companies (TOCs) and suppliers, supporting their bidding, business development and business change teams. Through all of his projects, including bid writing and production, Owain has brought innovation and best practice from the wider commercial sector into transport related settings. This has allowed Owain to establish a successful track record of innovative, yet deliverable, high-quality, high-scoring responses to complex procurement exercises within the operational estate, customer experience, asset management and sustainability sectors of transport projects both in the UK and across Europe and in the Middle East.

Projects include:

  • A significant portfolio of DfT rail bidding, including leading the production of Delivery Plan 4.2 (Stations) for three owning groups. Successful bids include Northern, West Midlands Trains and East Midlands Railway
  • Working with authorities in the City of Toronto, providing subject matter expert services in the design of integration documents and processes for the station estate element of the extension of the existing transport network.
  • Leading the production of the stations elements of a bidder’s successful tender for London Overground, responding to the significant contractual and operational requirements of the Transport for London tender
  • Undertaking the role of Facilities Management Mobilisation Lead for the successful service commencement on the newly opened central section of the Elizabeth line in London.
