Our Team

Richard is a safety, environmental and security professional with experience across several industries, including rail and bus operations, construction and facilities management. He has held a range of safety management and leadership positions, including Transport for London (TfL), Arriva Group and Morrison FM (Anglian Water subsidiary) in the UK. As a part of his earlier career with TfL, Richard held the role of Professional Head of Safety, overviewing health, safety and environmental (HSE) aspects across TfL operations and maintenance activity. He has also undertaken consultancy work for a number of public and private sector customers. As a HSE subject matter expert, he has made significant contributions to several high-profile bids, providing advice, senior review and technical writing across bid deliverables.

Projects include:

• Long-term work with a global train manufacturer, including writing and advising on bids for Newcastle Metro, High Speed 2 and Sydney Metro West
• Leading the research and development of technical bid submissions covering the HSQE components of a bidder’s Dubai Metro and Tram operations and maintenance bid
• Writing Safe Work Method Statements for Parramatta Light Rail in Sydney, Australia
• Acting as Mobilisation Operations Interface Manager for the mobilisation of the Elizabeth line in London on behalf of TfL.
